Lifted Truck Alignment in Tampa FL
Caster, camber, and toe set right for your modified suspension. Serving Tampa Bay lifted-truck owners since 2013.
Lifting a truck changes everything about how it sits, steers, and wears tires. The factory caster, camber, and toe specs were designed around a stock ride height. The moment you bolt on a 2-inch leveling kit or a 6-inch suspension lift, those angles go out of spec. If you drive a lifted truck around Tampa without an alignment after the lift, three things start happening within the first 1,000 miles: your front tires wear unevenly across the tread, your steering wheel sits crooked when you drive straight, and the truck starts pulling to one side. At LR Wheels N Lifts we specialize in alignment for lifted trucks of every kind - from a Ford F-150 with a 2.5-inch level on stock 20s, to a Ram 2500 with a 6-inch BDS lift on 37s, to a Jeep Wrangler with a solid axle swap and custom long arms. We measure the angles your specific lift requires, adjust the control arms, track bars, and tie rods to match, and provide a before-and-after printout so you can see the corrections. Most lifted truck alignments at our Tampa shop take 90 minutes to 2 hours and start at $120 for half-tons, $150-200 for heavy duty. Post-lift alignment is included free when we install your lift kit.
Why This Alignment Matters
What you get from a proper alignment at our Tampa shop.
Built for Modified Suspension
Most chain alignment shops are set up for stock-height vehicles. Lifted trucks need a tech who understands how a 4-inch lift changes the upper control arm geometry, how a track bar offsets the axle when you raise it, and why a 3-degree positive caster is the right target for most aftermarket lifts. We do this every day.
Tire Wear Protection
A lifted truck running 35-inch tires on bad alignment can chew through $1,600 of rubber in 15,000 miles. The single biggest dollar return on a $120 alignment is the tire life you protect. We aim for even tread wear across the contact patch and verify with the road test before you leave.
Straight Steering and Tracking
Bigger tires amplify every steering pull and wobble. A truly straight steering wheel and no-hands tracking is the difference between a lifted truck that's enjoyable to daily-drive and one that wears you out on the highway. We dial in the toe and centering to factory tolerance, not just close enough.
Custom Specs When You Need Them
Off-road builds, drag-friendly tow rigs, and squatted-front-end show trucks don't always want factory specs. We'll run your build to custom caster, camber, and toe settings that match how you actually use the truck - and document the targets so future alignments stay consistent.
Trucks & Vehicles We Align
Lifted Truck Alignment platforms we work on every day.
Lifted Ford F-150 (2015-2026)
The most common lifted truck on Tampa roads. We align everything from a 2-inch leveled Lariat on 33s to a 6-inch BDS lifted Raptor on 37s. Aftermarket upper control arms (BDS, Cognito, Camburg) need correct caster compensation to avoid premature ball joint wear - we set them right.
Lifted Ram 1500 / Ram 2500 / Ram 3500
Half-ton DT Rams with a leveling kit and HD Rams with a 4-6 inch suspension lift. The Ram solid front axle requires track bar adjustment after every lift, plus tie rod end correction to bring the toe back to spec. We're set up for both IFS and solid-axle Ram trucks.
Lifted Chevrolet Silverado / GMC Sierra
Half-ton IFS trucks with 4-6 inch lifts and HD 2500/3500 platforms. The GM IFS uses upper and lower control arms that drop with the suspension; we adjust the cam bolts to bring camber and caster back to spec without compromising the geometry.
Lifted Toyota Tundra & Tacoma
Toyota IFS trucks with 3-6 inch lifts often run aftermarket UCAs (SPC, Total Chaos, Camburg) to restore proper geometry. We've aligned hundreds of these - caster bolts maxed, UCAs adjusted, and toe set with the offset taken into account.
Lifted Jeep Wrangler JK/JL & Gladiator
Solid-axle Jeeps with 2.5 to 6-inch lifts. Death wobble is real and usually starts with bad alignment. We dial in caster (usually 5-6 degrees positive for a lifted JK), set the tie rod length right, and check track bar centering. We can also align swapped Dana 60 axles.
What to Expect
Our alignment process from start to finish.
Initial Inspection & Measurement
We put your truck on the alignment rack and take precise measurements of the current caster, camber, and toe angles on all wheels. This baseline tells us exactly what needs adjustment.
Caster, Camber & Toe Adjustment
Our technicians adjust each angle to manufacturer specifications or custom settings for your build. On solid axle trucks, this involves adjusting the axle housing, track bar, and tie rod ends.
Before & After Printout
You receive a printed report showing the exact measurements before and after the alignment, so you can see the corrections made and keep the data for your records.
Road Test
We take the truck for a test drive to verify straight tracking, no steering pull, and proper steering wheel centering. If anything is off, we go back to the rack and fine-tune.

Frequently Asked Questions
Common questions about this alignment service.
How much does a lifted truck alignment cost in Tampa?
Standard lifted half-ton trucks (F-150, Silverado 1500, Sierra 1500, Ram 1500, Tundra) start at $120 for a 4-wheel alignment at our Tampa shop. Lifted heavy duty trucks (F-250, F-350, Ram 2500/3500, Silverado HD) run $150 to $200 because the solid front axle requires more adjustment work and more time on the rack. Custom 4-wheel alignments with non-factory spec targets - common on off-road builds or trucks with aftermarket long arms - are $200 to $250.
Do I need an alignment after every suspension modification?
Yes - any change to the suspension geometry needs an alignment after. That includes a leveling kit, a full suspension lift, new upper or lower control arms, a track bar replacement, swapping in aftermarket coilovers, or installing new tie rod ends. Even a 2-inch front leveling kit shifts the caster and camber enough to wear tires unevenly within a few thousand miles. The good news: alignment is included free with every lift kit installation we do.
What is the right caster setting for a lifted truck?
Factory caster on most modern trucks is between 3 and 5 degrees positive. When you lift a truck, the caster drops - sometimes to 0 or negative - which causes wandering steering and a steering wheel that doesn't return to center after a turn. The fix depends on the truck. On IFS trucks (F-150, Silverado, Tundra) we use cam bolts or aftermarket upper control arms with built-in caster correction. On solid-axle trucks (F-250, Ram HD, Jeep) we adjust the axle with shims or adjustable track bars. Target: bring caster back to the factory range or slightly higher (5-6 degrees positive) for highway stability.
Can you align a truck with aftermarket upper control arms?
Yes, we align trucks with aftermarket UCAs every day. BDS, Cognito, Camburg, Total Chaos, SPC, ICON - we know how these brands' geometry differs from factory and how to bring the alignment back to spec. Aftermarket UCAs often have adjustable caster built in, which gives us more range than factory cam bolts. If you bring us your UCA install we'll set the caster, camber, and toe to match your build's intended use.
How long does a lifted truck alignment take?
Most lifted truck alignments at our Tampa shop take 90 minutes to 2 hours. Solid-axle trucks (Super Duty, Ram HD, Jeep Wrangler) take closer to 2-2.5 hours because there are more adjustment points and the axle has to be re-centered with the track bar. We provide a before-and-after printout showing all measured angles, so you leave with documentation of exactly what was changed. Walk-ins welcome but we recommend booking ahead - same-week appointments are usually available.
Do you align trucks with aftermarket coilovers and long-travel kits?
Yes. Long-travel kits (King, Fox, ICON) and aftermarket coilovers significantly change suspension geometry - they often require custom alignment specs because the factory targets don't fit how the truck is built. We've aligned everything from desert-style long-travel F-150s to ICON-equipped Tundra builds. If you have a target spec from your suspension builder, bring it. If not, we'll work with you to set angles that match how you use the truck.
Tampa Bay lifted trucks face a few unique alignment challenges - the bridge wind on the Howard Frankland reveals every steering pull, summer heat amplifies tire wear from bad toe, and the brackish humidity in Pinellas County rusts solid-axle adjustment points faster than dry climates. We see these problems every day and account for them when we set your specs.
