Off-peak the Courtney Campbell Causeway is a clean 25 minutes from central Clearwater straight to our shop on Hillsborough Ave. Weekday rush hour - eastbound 7-9am and westbound 4-6pm - can stretch it to 35 or 40 minutes if there is an incident on the Causeway. The reliable backup is SR-580 / Tampa Rd through Oldsmar to Hillsborough Ave west; slightly longer in miles but it avoids Causeway bottlenecks entirely. Most Pinellas customers drop the truck off in the morning, work or run errands in Tampa for the day, and pick it up on the way back across - the drive does not eat into appointment time that way.

First, equipment - our rack is rated for one-ton trucks fully loaded, and we carry the full range of caster shims, adjustable track bars, and aftermarket Toyota UCAs that lifted and HD platforms need. Most Mavis and Firestone locations in Pinellas are set up for stock-height vehicles up to about 6,000 pounds. Second, specialization - we align lifted Tundras, Tacomas, Wranglers, F-250s, and Cummins Rams every day, not once or twice a week between sedan rotations. Third, tire wear protection - a $450 LT tire on a lifted Tundra eats inner-edge rubber in 10,000 Florida miles on a bad alignment, and a done-right $120 to $200 alignment saves multiples of itself on the next set.

Yes - these are some of the most common trucks on our rack. Pinellas runs heavy on Toyota ownership and the typical Tundra or Tacoma in Clearwater or Safety Harbor sits on a 3-inch level or a 6-inch lift with aftermarket upper control arms - SPC Performance, Total Chaos, Camburg, ICON, or Old Man Emu. Each brand changes the geometry differently, and a chain shop that does not know to max the caster bolts before trying to adjust the UCAs will hand the truck back with the alignment never actually corrected. We do these every week and we know each brand's adjustment range without having to look it up.

Yes - beach builds are roughly half of our Pinellas customer base. When a coastal truck comes in we plan extra time to free fasteners cleanly because brackish air rusts track bar bolts, shim packs, and tie rod sleeves faster than on inland trucks. We also inspect the front-end components more closely on coastal trucks - salt accelerates ball joint and tie rod end wear, and there is no point setting alignment angles on a worn-out part that will fail in 5,000 miles. If you regularly run Honeymoon Island, Caladesi, or the Dunedin causeway, hose the undercarriage with fresh water after every trip and bring it in for an alignment check every 10,000 miles instead of 15,000.

Walk-ins are welcome but a 30-second phone call gets you a confirmed rack slot. We hold appointment time specifically for Pinellas customers driving over the Causeway because nobody wants to make a 25-minute drive and find out the rack is booked for three hours. Most weekdays, calling by 10am gets you a same-day slot. Saturdays book up - Friday afternoon is the right time to call ahead for a weekend appointment. Half-ton alignments are $120, heavy duty $150 to $200, and you get the printout regardless of whether you booked or walked in.

Yes - drop-off is what most of our Clearwater and Belleair customers do. Bring the truck in the morning, we call when it is done, you pick it up at the end of the day on the way back across the Causeway. Most alignments are 90 minutes to 2 hours of actual rack time, but we are happy to hold the truck longer if your day runs late. There is no after-hours pickup but normal business hours give you plenty of window. Cash, card, and major payment methods accepted at pickup.
