Jeep Lift Kit Installation in Tampa, FL
Wrangler JL, JK, and Gladiator lift specialists. From a 2.5" budget boost that clears 35s to a full long-arm system on 37s - installed, aligned, and caster-corrected at our Tampa shop, from $280.
LR Wheels N Lifts installs Jeep lift kits every week at our Tampa shop on West Hillsborough Avenue. Wranglers and Gladiators are not just another truck on a lift - solid front axles, track bars, and caster geometry mean a Jeep lift done wrong drives terribly and can develop death wobble. Our technicians install kits from Rough Country, TeraFlex, Zone Offroad, ReadyLIFT, BDS, and ICON, and every installation includes a professional four-wheel alignment with caster correction. Want bigger tires with the lift? We build complete wheel and tire packages - 35s and 37s mounted, balanced, and fitted to your new ride height in the same visit. Lifting a truck instead? See our truck lift kit installation page for Ford, Chevy, RAM, and Toyota builds.

Jeep Lift Kit FAQ
Common questions about lifting Wranglers and Gladiators, pricing, and tire fitment.
How much does it cost to lift a Jeep in Tampa?
Jeep lift kit installation at LR Wheels N Lifts starts around $280 for a budget boost or spacer lift and runs to $5,500 or more for a full long-arm system. A quality 2.5-inch coil lift on a Wrangler JL, the most popular build we do, typically lands between $800 and $1,400 installed. Every price includes parts, labor, and a professional alignment, so there are no surprise add-ons when you pick up your Jeep.
What size lift do I need for 35-inch tires on a Wrangler?
A 2.5-inch lift is enough to clear 35-inch tires on a Wrangler JL or JK with the right wheel offset, and it keeps the center of gravity low for better on-road manners. If you want 37s, plan on a 3.5-inch or taller lift with upgraded control arms and a track bar. Gladiators generally need slightly more lift than Wranglers for the same tire because of their longer wheelbase and different fender profile. We spec the exact combination for your Jeep before we order anything.
Will lifting my Jeep cause death wobble?
A properly installed and aligned lift will not cause death wobble. Death wobble on lifted Jeeps almost always traces back to worn or loose steering components, an incorrectly torqued track bar, or caster that was never corrected after the lift. Our installation includes a caster check, track bar and control arm torque verification, and a full alignment specifically to prevent it. If your Jeep already has death wobble from a previous install, we diagnose and fix that too.
Do you install lift kits on the Jeep Gladiator?
Yes. We install leveling kits, 2.5 to 3.5-inch suspension lifts, and long-arm systems on the Gladiator JT. Because the Gladiator is longer than a Wrangler and many owners tow with them, we match spring rates to how you actually use the truck - a Gladiator that tows a boat every weekend gets a different setup than one built for the dunes. Alignment is included with every Gladiator lift.
Can I bring my own Jeep lift kit for installation?
Yes, we install customer-supplied lift kits at the same labor rates as kits purchased from us. We recommend calling before you buy so we can confirm the kit fits your exact model year and includes the geometry correction parts a taller lift needs - many budget kits leave out the adjustable control arms or track bar that a 3.5-inch or taller Wrangler lift really should have.
How long does a Jeep lift installation take?
Budget boosts and spacer lifts are usually same-day. A 2.5 to 3.5-inch coil lift on a Wrangler typically takes one day including the alignment. Long-arm kits and builds that add new control arms, track bars, and driveshafts take two to three days. We test drive every Jeep before it leaves the shop and check the steering feel at highway speed.
